Atelier

OLD GRAIN ATELIER exists to honor material truth.

We work with rare, century-grade timber — selected for stability, character, and presence.

The wood is professionally seasoned in Munich, then built with disciplined geometry and hand-finished surfaces.

Our goal is not decoration. It is proportion.

Process

Selection

Each piece begins with timber that has lived for centuries. We source only documented, professionally graded mahogany — the kind that stabilizes properly and ages with dignity.

Seasoning

Professional drying and conditioning in Munich ensures long-term stability. The wood is brought to equilibrium — neither rushed nor over-processed.

Construction

Minimal intervention. Clean joinery. Engineered support where needed. We build around the material's natural tension, not against it.

Finish

Hand-applied oil or satin lacquer to preserve depth and character. No heavy coatings. The grain remains legible, the surface honest.

"One piece at a time. Released when it's ready."
